Baby Yani's Baby Shower

My brother and sister-in-law are expecting a little boy in December and I decided to throw a Jungle Themed baby shower. My brother works in our family restaurant and is always in suspenders and a tie so I thought it was suitable to dress a baby monkey like him. He loved it. The cake was chocoalte (as per the expecting mothers request) and was filled with a thin layer of raspberry pastry filling and buttercream icicng. All the animals and trees where made up of gumpaste and the palm tree leaves where dusted with yellow petal dust and silver simmer. I had so much fun making this cake. A friend of mine suggested we do a candy bar for favors and everyone loved it. They all left with a baggie of goodies and could not have been happier.
